Mom Charged With Having Sex With Son's 12-Year-Old Friend

Get ready, readers. We (sadly) have another "mother of the year" candidate for your reading horror. Patricia Ann Serrano, a 43-year-old Fountain Valley woman, has been charged with having sex with a 12-year-old boy. The minor was a friend of Serrano's son.

The suspect was arrested on Tuesday by Fountain Valley police officers and is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. Serrano has been hit with three felony counts of lewd acts on a child under 14 with a sentencing enhancement for substantial sexual conduct with a child, reports L.A. Now. Her continued arraignment is slated for Friday at the West Justice Center in Westminster.

Here's how it all allegedly went down. Serrano had sex with the victim twice - once in a car and once in her home - in October. The boy's mother found the unlikely couple in a room together but did not observe any wrongdoing. The duo had allegedly been kissing. Rightfully, the mother with decent morals became suspicious and notified police.
