Pedestrian Struck & Killed While Crossing Ventura Freeway

A pedestrian was killed Tuesday morning while attempting to cross the Ventura (134) Freeway in Burbank.

The man had just crossed the eastbound lanes near Bob Hope Drive and was midway across the westbound lanes when he was struck by several cars. The incident occurred shortly before 5am.

The identity of the adult male is not yet available. Authorities are investigating why he was crossing the freeway. There did not appear to be a disabled vehicle near the scene.

All westbound lanes were closed for 40 minutes. The scene was cleared at about 8:40am.
