Drugging, Raping, Shaving Drinking Buddy Sentenced to 3 Years
Remember John Haig Marshall of Redondo Beach? The former reserve police officer in his mid-50s has pleaded no contest on accusations he drugged, raped, and shaved the body hair of his onetime "drinking buddy," a 29-year-old former pal. Marshall was sentenced today to serve three years as part of a plea deal.
Marshall was arrested on a felony charge of penetration with a foreign object while using a drug. His ex-friend says Marshall had the him over under the guise of needed help fixing his computer. Then the drink came, followed by the sexual and shaving encounter in the shower.
An attorney for Marshall says his client maintains "the shower was consensual and there was no sexual penetration."
Marshall is thought to have been involved in previous sexual assaults, and has been the subject of previous investigations regarding sex, drugs, and teen boys, some of which has been referenced by anonymous tipsters who say Marshall has handed out various illegal drugs and alcohol to his underage buddies.
