Abracadabra! Magic Castle Slated to Reopen This Friday
Magic Castle plans to reopen on Friday following yesterday's fire. Due to the blaze, the venue's highly anticipated Halloween event was cancelled.
No one was injured in the fire, which broke out in an attic space around lunchtime on Monday.
Magic Castle tweeted earlier today that they would know more about the extent of the damage and their reopening date over the next 48 hours. The venue also tweeted that "the damage was relatively minor compared to what it could have been." Whew! About an hour ago, another tweet announced that "the restoration company has pulled up the damaged carpet in the main bar, dining room and offices."
Ironically enough, Magic Castle's Halloween week theme was "Inferno," and its website said it would be "ON FIRE with the spirit of Halloween!" reports L.A. Now. Ouch.
