School On Saturday? Students Head to Occupy L.A.
Visiting Occupy L.A. has become a common activity for curious locals, comedians, radio show hosts and celebrities. Today tent city will welcome students to its temporary domicile on City Hall's lawn to school them on the growing global movement.
Spearheaded by Good Jobs L.A.'s youth outreach program, the event will welcome more than 40 students from South L.A., Compton and Inglewood. With a mission of holding corporations accountable for reviving the American Dream, Good Jobs L.A. has engaged over 50,000 families from struggling L.A. communities in their grassroots movement to heal the economy and create good jobs.
Students will Occupy L.A. from 12:30pm to 3pm today.
