A fire in North Hollywood erupted on Saturday morning, revealing an impressive indoor marijuana operation. Police are currently investigating the cause of the blaze and searching for the owner of the business.

Firefighters responded to the scene around 12:30am at a commercial business on the 7400 block of Bellaire Avenue. They successfully battled the blaze in 20 minutes, and no injuries were reported.

A sizable pot growing enterprise was discovered within the shady business, which appeared to have a bogus front lobby and lacked any exterior signage. Sources have referred to the operation as "extensive" and "sophisticated." Approximately 800 pot plants in various stages of growth were uncovered.

Early reports believe the cause of the fire is thanks to a shoddy operation setup. An improperly installed light fixture may have fallen on a plant, creating a substantial amount of smoke. Other sources state that the cause of the blaze still remains under investigation.

I had the misfortune of walking through a very sketchy part of the valley (Roscoe/Van Nuys area) and I noticed what I thought were many very shady businesses -ie "foot" massage parlors, 420 medical "clinics". All kinds of under the table Mexican vendors, ongoing yard sales, etc. I saw sickening amounts of trash all over the streets, hookers, male and female, countless homeless people and gang members. Go for a walk in the valley sometime to see what is really going on here.
