Pets of the Week: Lulu & Taz
Looking for a comfy home to call my own. Photo courtesy of Siamese Cat Rescue
Lulu a beautiful 4-year-old pedigreed red-point Javanese looking for a new home. Javanese (and Balinese) are the longhaired version of the Siamese. Unlike a fluffy Persian, the coat is silky and doesn't mat. Lulu is a very petite girl — just 6 pounds. She also enjoys lap time and loves to play with her kitty toys. Although she gets along with other cats, she needs to be an only cat as she has tested positive for FeLV.
Lovely Lulu
She is truly a wonderful kitty and deserves a loving home. Interested adopters should research FeLV or ask their veterinarian to learn more.
Southern California Siamese Rescue is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit group. They do not have a shelter — all of their cats are fostered in private homes and can be viewed at www.siameserescue.org. Siamese Cat Rescue's greatest challenge is finding foster homes for their rescues. There are always more needy cats than they have room for. Contact them if you are interested in volunteering, donating, fostering or adopting.
This is Taz, a wonderful Rottweiler who is currently being cared for by CageFree K9 Rescue Foundation. Taz would like to share his story in his own words:

CageFree K-9 Rescue Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit no-kill all-breed dog rescue group located in Los Angeles dedicated to finding great homes for great dogs. The majority of our rescues come from the many Los Angeles animal shelters and are screened for temperament and sociability. CageFree K-9 Rescue focuses on pulling "red-listed" dogs before they are euthanized. Each and every dog receives the medical attention and emotional support they need until they are placed with their new forever family. All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered prior to placement.
