Be KIND: Help Feed Senior Citizens This Thanksgiving
On Tuesday, November 1, Angelenos can do good just by being kind. Sounds simple, right? It is. And it will bring a happy and healthy Thanksgiving to hundreds of senior citizens.
A KIND Healthy Snacks KIND Movement initiative, Do the KIND Thing hosts monthly KINDING Missions in new cities every first Tuesday of every month, also known as KIND Tuesday. L.A., November is our month. L.A.'s BIG KIND Act aims to feed senior citizens via the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. With the help of selfless Angelenos, nutritious Thanksgiving meals will be delivered to hundreds of senior citizens facing hardship.
"One small kind act from you can ignite a big kind act," says the KIND website. But this big act is only possible if enough locals participate. On or before KIND Tuesday, Angelenos can accept the mission to "do ANY act of kindness for ANYONE of your choosing."
The KIND Food Truck will roll into L.A. in support of KIND Tuesday, making a special stop in downtown to offer its treats during the special day of kindness. From 7am to 10am, the truck will help spread the kindness by serving downtowners at 735 South Figueroa. Below is an illustration of the KIND Truck's national path.
So far the November KINDING Mission progress has reached 783.8%.
