President Barack Obama announced today that he'll be pulling all the troops out of Iraq by the end of the year.
In an announcement today, Obama said that "After nearly nine years, America's war in Iraq will be over," according to CNN.
The U.S.'s Status of Forces Agreement with Iraq dictates that America leave Iraq by the end of the year anyway, but there had at one point been talk of troops staying on for longer. By year's end, most of the 39,000 troops will be home for good. 150 will stay on to help facilitate arms sales.
