Serial Rapist Who Gave DVD of Crime To His Mom Could Face 100 Years in Prison

gavel2.jpg A serial rapist who picked up at least four young women in Orange County bars by drugging them or plying them with booze could face 100 years in prison at his sentencing hearing, according to the LA Times.

A jury found James Bledsoe, 30, of Huntington Beach guilty of sexually assaulting four victims in 2007, and he could face such a long sentence because his rap sheet already including lewd acts on a minor, selling drugs and assault with a deadly weapon.

The latest case again Bledsoe really unraveled when investigators found out that Bledsoe kept a sort of sexual assault library full of DVDs that included the names of his victims and the dates of his crimes, according to the OC Weekly. The investigators were tipped off to the library when Bledsoe's mom offered up a DVD of Bledsoe with one of his victims. She very mistakenly thought it would help exonerate him.

Bledsoe argued that when he picked up these four women, he was having consensual sex with them. But the DVDs tell another story: one women is so drunk that she pukes on him. One is unconscious. One of them tells him she's too drunk to have sex. One has consensual sex with him once, but then later begs him to stop and let her go. On tape, she says, "You're hurting me" and "You're scaring me."

Bledsoe tried to book it to the Mexican border before the cops nabbed him in 2007.

  • Sometimes the perp ends up dead.

In 1974, at the age of 14, I was abducted, beaten and raped by a pedophile predator in my home town of Lincoln, Rhode Island. Although he was arrested and indicted, he never went to trial. He never went to trial because he was brutally beaten to death in the streets of Providence before his court date. 36 years later, no one has ever been charged with the crime. Someone got away with murder.
