From the Stupid Criminal Files: Embezzling Employee Leaves Falsified Documents in Company Copy Machine

copy-machine-180x.jpg One way to ensure your boss discovers you are stealing from the company: Leave your altered paperwork in the copy machine.

This is what happened in Monrovia, when on October 14, a business owner discovered documents falsified in order to financially benefit a female employee, according to Monrovia Patch.

The business owners "became suspicious, conducted audits, and put together packages of checks from different banks that had been altered to the benefit of the same employee." Turns out the employee had helped herself to a large sum of the company's money.

Monrovia Police are investigating the alleged crime.

  • This article shows one example of falsified documents’ case in a workplace setting. There are many who are engaged in such unlawful
activity. Hopefully, justice will be served unto them for the crime that they have committed.
