Dress Up Your Pooch for WeHo's Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest

Dog owners, if you're planning on dressing up your pooch for Halloween this year (and we have a sneaking suspicious that many of you are), why not add a little extra embarrassment to your pet's day by entering him or her in West Hollywood's annual Howl-O-Ween Doggy Costume Contest? The event takes place this Sunday, October 23, and offers you the chance to not only be entertained by torturing your own pet, but by witnessing the torture of numerous other canines, too!

Dogs will win prizes in a variety of categories including Scariest Costume, Look-Alike (pet and guardian), Most Creative Costume, Most Colorful Costume and Best Costume. Additionally, to ensure no pet goes unrecognized, a Certificate of Appreciation will be given to all participants.

The contest begins at 2pm at West Hollywood Park. Registration is free and is also mandatory. Participants can pre-register at the West Hollywood Park office until 5pm on Saturday, October 22. Registration is not available on the day of the event. Animals must be leashed during the contest, and proof of immunization must be shown.

Happy howling, all!
