Southwest Airlines Flight 3683 to Kansas City, Mo., out of LAX made an unplanned landing at Houston Tuesday, after the crew reported that a passenger became unruly and was allegedly trying to break into the cockpit.

Upon landing, 29-year-old Ali Reza Shahsauri was taken into custody "by federal authorities on a charge of interference with a flight crew," reports L.A. now.

Witnesses report Shahsauri was screaming obscenities at passengers during the flight, and that he caused a commotion outside the restrooms at the rear of the aircraft.

After Shahsauri's arrest in Houston, the flight continued on to Kansas City.
