The search for a man who raped a woman in the backseat of his car at knifepoint on Monday got a little easier when detectives figured out the victim had dropped her cell phone in the man's car.

Detectives tracked her phone to the car of Charles Lee Kelly, a security guard who lives in Inglewood. He was arrested yesterday afternoon on suspicion of rape, false imprisonment and use of a dangerous weapon during the commission of a felony, according to the Daily Breeze.

Kelly, while still in his security guard uniform, offered the victim a ride home from a gas station in El Segundo. Instead, the victim said he drove her to a remote parking lot and raped her. She escaped without her phone or clothes. Another El Segundo resident picked her up and brought her to the police station.

Local detectives believe there might be more victims and that Kelly could be involved in other crimes. Police asked anyone with information to call detectives at 310-524-2216.
