Namaste, Yogis. A day completely dedicated to you and your practice is coming to the Topanga Community Club on Saturday, October 22. The first annual Yoga Day L.A invites yogis of all levels to participate in this community event in a tranquil, outdoor setting. Not only will attendees stretch, breathe and chattarunga their bodies and minds through up to two classes, they will indulge in food and smoothie vendors, wellness services and complimentary Zico coconut water and Pom Juice.

Beginning at 8am, the event features six 75-90 minute classes led by L.A.'s top yogis. While the event is free to attend, participants must pay for classes. Sessions are a bit pricey but hopefully worth the moolah. The first class costs $25, and a second round is reduced in price to $15. A special pre-sale price of $20 for the first class is offered until Saturday, October 15. Tickets and registration are available online. The last class wraps at 6:30pm.

The Yoga Day L.A. schedule is as follows.

8:00am-9:15am / Sunrise Yoga with Jorgen Christiansson of Omkar 108

9:30am-11:00am / Mid-Morning Yoga Session with Kia Miller of Yoga Works

11:30am-1:00pm / It's Getting Hot Yoga with Annmarie Solo of Yoga Desa

1:30pm-3:00pm / Sunscreen Yoga Session with Steve Ross of Maha Yoga

3:30pm-4:30pm / Not So Lazy Afternoon Yoga with Andrea Brook and the Earth Harp

5:00pm-6:30pm / Dusk Yoga Session with Bryan Kest of Power Yoga

Yogis may bring their own mats or purchase one at the event. Organizers recommend participants arrive at least 30 to 45 minutes early to street park and check in.

Some wellness services include a life coach, an herbalist and acupressure and massage experts. Plus, a mini farmers market will offer fresh fruits and veggies.

At least 5% of the event's net sales will be donated to NextAid, an L.A.-based nonprofit organization that harnesses the power of music to support sustainable development projects that serve vulnerable children, youth and women in Africa, per the organization's website.

Hi, I was wondering how a vendor can get involved with this fantastic event. I wasn't aware of it and I would really like to have a booth there! Will you be hosting this event again next year? If so, I would love to be involved with such a wonderful cause!
