Bryan Stow Goes Outside, Says 'It's Magical'

After nearly six months of hospital confinement, Bryan Stow - the Giants fan who was brutally attacked outside of Dodgers Stadium on March 31 - has finally seen and felt the sun. Per the last post on the website his family maintains, Stow was moved to a cardiac chair on Friday and wheeled onto a secluded patio. His family watched as he sat in the sun with his eyes closed, then asked him how it felt to be outside. "It's magical," he said.

Stow's condition is slowly but surely improving. His strength has increased, plus he has become more responsive. As a result, physical and occupational therapists will meet with him five days a week. Though he is not engaging in full conversations yet, the 42-year-old is "saying a lot," according to his family, but speaking only a few words at a time.

A complete run-down of Stow's recent interactions with his family, friends and hospital staff can be found on the Support 4 Bryan Stow website. Below is our favorite account.

"Our LA friend Brian was visiting and talking to Bry and Bonnie said, 'Bry…he’s annoying, huh?' Brian said, 'Bry, if I am annoying you, blink twice.' Bryan blinked twice! We started laughing and looked at Bryan and he had a small (yet so big) smile on his face. Obviously he still knows he’s funny."
