Pencil This In: Québec Invasion, Fromage & Fashion
Tonight begs Angelenos to be social. After all, it is Social Media Week (SMW), and this evening's SMW event calls all local fashionistas to the Rockwell in Hollywood. Plus, Mindshare LA hosts its September night of social networking at the Los Angeles Theater Center. If you'd rather sit/stand back and watch, check out the Bayside High School Musical at The Victory Theatre Center, The Kaleidoscopic Universe of Frank Mouris at Cinefamily or Québec-centric music at the El Rey. We know you favor eats and drinks, so Cheese 101 or free wine tastings might be right up your alley. Read on for the deets, then hit the L.A. streets!

Lectures aside, guests may also check out an interactive tech lounge, social games with Wise Guys and tunes by Love in the Circus and SuperTall Paul. 6:30pm-midnight. Tickets are $25 online and $30 at the door.
SOCIAL MEDIA & FASHION

WINE TASTING
Wine Institute honors said exquisite beverage throughout September in California Wine Month. To help celebrate, gLAnce Wine Bar at JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. Live presents its Meet the Winemaker series every Wednesday this month. Guests will sip complimentary wine tastings plus enjoy a sampling of small seasonal bites prepped by the hotel's chef. Tonight's featured winery is Leonesse Cellars of the Temecula Valley. 5:30pm-7pm. Free.
MUSIC*
As part of Québec in Hollywood, a three-week celebration of the sights, sounds, artistry and flavors of Québécois culture, the El Rey Theatre presents a special night with Québec indie rockers Patrick Watson, The Besnard Lakes, Malajube and The Barr Brothers. Doors open at 7pm; show starts at 8pm. $20. Tickets can be purchased online via Goldenvoice.
THEATRE
Zack, Kelly, Screech, Lisa, Jessie, A.C. and Mr. Belding - the gang’s all here! Bayside High School Musical flashes back to the 80s and 90s with a musical parody of the beloved sitcom “Saved by the Bell.” The musical opened on August 10 and will take place double-feature-style every Wednesday through October at The Victory Theatre Center in Burbank until Jessie overdoes on caffeine pills, A.C. pulls a muscle or Zack’s hair goes flat. Tickets for 8pm shows cost $15; tickets for 10pm shows cost $10 and include two beers when booked online.
FILM
Cinefamily calls The Kaleidoscopic Universe of Frank Mouris a "wide-ranging work of an experimental animator genius!" Including "Frank Film," which garnered Mouris an Oscar win, five films will screen tonight at Cinefamily on 35mm and 16mm. These select works have not screened together in the United States since 1980, so film buffs, tonight's presentation beckons. 8pm-10pm. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $8 for Filmforum members.
