Conservative Christian Group Doesn't Want Kids Asking for 'Schweddy Balls'
Ben & Jerry's
The conservative Christian group complains that Ben & Jerry's new SNL-referencing ice cream flavor "Schweddy Balls" is not appropriate for the little ones.
"The vulgar new flavor has turned something as innocent as ice cream into something repulsive," the group says on its web site. "Not exactly what you want a child asking for at the supermarket."
The group, which is allied with the American Family Association, is asking its members to boycott the flavor and ask Ben & Jerry's to stop the distribution of the ice cream. The group was also opposed to the company "Hubby Hubby" flavor, which celebrated gay marriage: "It seems that offending customers has become an annual tradition for Ben & Jerry's."
To top it off, the group complains that Schweddy Balls doesn't really sound like an appealing flavor. The group did not offer any additional complaints on the texture, shape or taste of the Schweddy Balls ice cream.
