Parties, Panels & Presentations: Social Media Week Is HERE!

Social Media Week (SMW) is in full swing, and L.A. is one of the twelve cities celebrating with events scheduled today through Friday, September 23. The biannual global platform "connects people, content, and conversation around emerging trends in social and mobile media," per the website, and is delivered through a network of conferences and online via social and mobile media.

Each day brims with events at various L.A. locations. Some of today's offerings include Celebrities in Social Media - 3:30pm at Paley Center for Media - The Social Advantage: Empowering Writers - 7pm at Writers Guild of America, West - and Digital LA - Movies and Music Go Social - 7pm at Viceroy in Santa Monica.

Interested attendees can register online for events, many of which are free, all of which are substantially subsidized thanks to SMW's partners and sponsors. For the convenience of those who prefer not to brave the roadways, select presentations are streamed live.
