Curious About Climate Change? Tune In Online Tonight for '24 Hours of Reality'

Hosted by environmentalist and former Vice President Al Gore, 24 Hours of Reality airs online tonight beginning at 7pm CT (5pm PT) as part of The Climate Reality Project. "24 presenters. 24 time zones. 13 languages. 1 message." The worldwide event's mission is to broadcast the reality of the climate crisis in a multimedia presentation prepared by Gore. Delivered once per hour for 24 hours, the project addresses every global time zone.

The event website, along with the event's promotional video, explain what viewers can expect, noting the reality of the (often discredited) climate crisis.

Each hour people living with the reality of climate change will connect the dots between recent extreme weather events — including floods, droughts and storms — and the manmade pollution that is changing our climate. We will offer a round-the-clock, round-the-globe snapshot of the climate crisis in real time. The deniers may have millions of dollars to spend, but we have a powerful advantage. We have reality.

L.A.'s time zone aligns with the Victoria, British Columbia presentation tonight at 7pm. Montreal native Peter Shiefke, founder of the Concordia Volunteer Abroad Program, will present.
