Santa Monica will host the first of its kind, large-scale outdoor eco-festival and exposition this October. And you're all invited. The New World Festival of Eco-Friendly Science and Technology (F.E.S.T.) will stretch its green arms across 95,000 square feet of the beaches of Santa Monica to present "interesting content that falls under the umbrella of 'cool science, a smart future, and the greening of the planet,'" per the website.

The New World F.E.S.T. features 150 exhibitors, live music on six different stages, innovative demonstrations, guest speakers, panel discussions, natural cooking workshops, yoga classes, celebrities, authors, movie screenings and family entertainment. Celebrating "eco-friendliness, innovation and forward-thinking science," the F.E.S.T. is slated for an entire weekend from Friday, October 7, through Sunday, October 9.

Tickets are just $12 for adults, $8 for kids (under 14) and $8 for seniors (60+). Infants and toddlers go green for free. Tickets are not yet available online but will be soon. The F.E.S.T. will run from noon to 8pm on Friday, 10am to 8pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.

By delivering educational enlightenment through entertaining and interactive mediums, the F.E.S.T. hopes that attendees will better retain such information and in turn shift their priorities and embrace a new world of eco-conscious, eco-active humans. Do gooders, start your brains.
