Gang Members Bully & Beat Bicyclist Then Visit Jail
An atypical act of gang violence occurred on August 30 in Riverside County, and the culprits - three gang members of Jurupa Vallery - were finally apprehended Friday night. Riverside County sheriff's deputies arrested Daniel Delshawn Green, 19, Dequan Matthew Green, 26, and Daymen Qionel Tolbert, 20.
The menacing trio allegedly stopped a male bicyclist in the 5600 block of 29th Street and demanded possession of the bicycle. “When the victim resisted, he was viciously assaulted. The victim was able to flee the scene [but] he received moderate injuries to his face," said Sergeant Justin Rowan, according to CBS LA.
After eyewitnesses identified the suspects, anti-gang personnel obtained warrants to search their properties. Officials not only found Green (sources do not specify Daniel or Dequan) at his abode, they also discovered meth. He has been charged for drug possession, along with conspiracy, attempted robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and criminal street gang activity. The other two gang members have also been charged with the four aforementioned counts. Bail information has not yet been released.
