Sunday's plane crash near Tehachapi in Kern County has resulted in a rapidly spreading brush fire. More than 4,000 acres have burned in the blaze, and 30 homes have been forced to evacuate.
A six-seat Cessna 210 crashed in Blackburn Canyon, an area northwest of Los Angeles, on Sunday morning, reports L.A. Now. One person died in the crash.
Dry, windy conditions in the area have contributed to the wild blaze.
Officials say the fire is 5% contained.
