There's no such thing as a free lunch, but there was such thing as free weed for folks who came across an overturned truck in San Jose that was carrying bags of marijuana, according to the San Jose Mercury News.

The truck crashed near the intersection of Blossom Hill Road and Playa Del Rey at about 12:50 a.m. yesterday, spilling its contents, which were being transported illegally, all over the roadway. The driver fled the scene, but passing motorists and pedestrians swooped in to collect the spoils.

By the time police arrived, most of the pot had been taken, but the remaining bags were confiscated. Authorities also found a handgun inside the truck.

Neither the driver nor the opportunists have been arrested as of yet.
