Urban Campers to Pitch Tents at MOCA Thursday Night
Sometimes the wilderness is better experienced in your backyard, or, say, MOCA's Grand Avenue Lodge.
Urban campers will pitch their tents at the MOCA Lodge campsite Thursday night, joining the L.A. Urban Rangers for Critical Campout.
The campfire program "explores the full spectrum of habitation options" in DTLA, per MOCA.
Highlights include:
*A live demonstration where you can learn how to make an alternative temporary shelter.*An Ask a Ranger station for all of your questions about downtown habitation options, from streets to loft condos.
*A discussion where you can learn about the vast climate of city ordinances shaping the habitat ecology.
*A film screening of the L.A. Urban Rangers past two “Engagement Party” events.
Though the RSVP list is full, interested campers may add themselves to the waiting list via email.
If interested but unable to gain a camp spot, do not fret. The public is welcome to enjoy the campfire at the Trailhead from 7pm-10pm. We hear the site comes complete with a cash bar.
