A man with a message scaled the KTLA Channel 5 tower on Tuesday night. He climbed until he reached the "A," which is about 100 feet from the ground.

LAPD was summoned around 8:15pm and, along with LA City Fire, convinced the reluctant man to descend. He returned to the ground at approximately 9:20pm.

The man did not intend to harm himself. Rather, he had a message to deliver. He believes society should "return back to a state of nature," he said in a KTLA news clip.

The climber has been taken into custody by police and will undergo a mental evaluation.

Authorities believe he may be the same man who was arrested Monday after pitching a tent under the tower and shouting at passers-by via bullhorn.
