Javaris Crittenton - former LA Lakers guard - was arrested at John Wayne Airport on Monday night around 8pm while attempting to board a flight to Atlanta, Georgia. The former NBA player is the prime suspect in the murder of a 22-year-old Atlanta woman.

An FBI-LAPD fugitive task force along with the assistance of Orange County Sheriff's Department arrested Crittenton in connection with a warrant for the murder of Jullian Jones, reports Daily Breeze.

Jones - a mother of four - was shot multiple times outside of her Atlanta home on August 19. Officials say Crittenton was targeting an alleged thief who he believed had stolen jewelry from his home earlier in 2011. Sadly, the shooting may be a case of mistaken identity.

Currently detained in a downtown L.A. jail, Crittenton will be held until his court appearance, which should be slated no later than Wednesday.
