Tap, Tap, Brew: Do You Need This App to Find L.A.'s Best Coffee?
Although Seattle is home to Starbucks, the ultimate in coffee pretentiousness might be right here in Los Angeles, where we stand in long lines to have our cup of single-origin dark roast fair trade organic whathaveyou brewed via some tedious process that yields liquid slower than a tree gives sap in the dead of winter (and hold the cream, you heathen).
Now, to help guide you through the abyss of coffee options all you need is your phone or iPad, and the L.A.'s Best Coffee app, which we heard about this morning via Eater LA.
"LA's Best Coffee helps you find over 50 of the best independent cafes and carts serving artisan roasted coffee in Los Angeles. The app includes details of the machinery and beans each cafe uses along with information about the roasters," explains the app's site. Don't worry, it also tells you what brand of grinder they use. Imagine if it didn't? The horror.
We know what you're thinking: THANK GOD, IT'S ABOUT TIME. We feel you. Happy downloading.
