Michael Jackson Was Desperate Drug Addict 'on the hunt' For Fix, Says Murray Defense

The tactic is to paint Jackson as a "desperate drug addict," says the L.A. Times, and to indicate the music icon was always "on the hunt" for his next fix of propofol.
On the witness list are several Jackson insiders, including friends, doctors, his kids' nanny, and his make-up artist. Many of those named by Murray's attorneys have not been cooperative so far with the doctor's defense.
Attorneys for Murray are using police interviews with many of these individuals, in which the insiders describe Jackson's drug-seeking behavior and express their concern about the singer's likely addiction, to justify deeming them witnesses for the defense.
However, a jury may not hear this testimony, since prosecutors have already questioned the validity of such material in the trial. A hearing on the issue is slated for Monday afternoon. Jury selection for the Murray trial is set for September 8th.
Incidentally, today would have been Jackson's 53rd birthday.
