Plaintiff for 160+ Disability Lawsuits Gets Caught Going for A Hike

James Farkus Cohan has sued so many small businesses in Los Angeles for violating disability laws that a bunch of them decided to get together at one of the businesses being sued, The Blue Room, and have a party.

They watched some footage shot by a crew at ABC 7 showing Cohan going for a hike.

This sort of ruined the party, because in his lawsuits, Cohan says he has end-stage emphysema and he needs an oxygen tank and a wheelchair. So seeing him hiking briskly up a hill in Sun Valley pissed off these owners, who swear their businesses are compliant and accessible for the disabled.

Cohan demanded $10,000 from Burbank business owner Kevin Tanachian, who said: "I was about to pay him $3,000 to make him go away."

Not only is Cohan a serial plaintiff in these questionable lawsuits that give other disability lawsuits a bad name, he's quite a character.

When ABC 7's reporter Marc Brown pressed Cohan for more details about how lucrative these cases are, Cohan fired back at the black reporter with racial epithets and a nasty joke about slavery.

He's also a felon. An ATF raid at his house netted 34 guns, some of which were semiautomatics, and 31,000 rounds of ammunition. He's supposed to be under house arrest as a part of his probation, so his jaunt up the hill might have been a bad idea on many, many levels.

Oh, and he's in the human organ trade: $115,000 for a kidney; $225,000 for a heart, lung or liver.

But he wants lower taxes and limited government, which makes him a Tea Party hero.

Lame troll.  Lots of gang bangers love government handouts too, which must make them Democrat heroes. Amiright?

another slimy second amendment gunner trying to get what wasn't his.

    take his ass down HARD.

  • I am glad you included the word slimy because there are many more non-slimy decent law abiding citizens that do own firearms legally, have never been in jail or even detained and like to earn their livings through hard work, usually protecting other dumb citizens from themselves.
