Will Hollywood Walk of Fame Grant Stars to Reality Stars? 'Hell to the No!'

On Monday the Hollywood Walk of Fame posted on their Facebook wall, "Someone asked if we give reality show characters stars? Hell to the No!" A total of 91 people have since "liked" the sentiment, and a long list of replies followed.

"Having a camera crew follow you around all day is NOT talent, it just means you're a cheap whore that wants fame the easy way," posted Facebook user Greg Smeltzer.

"Good to know, this means we will not see Paris and Kim getting stars! Thank you Hollywood Walk of Fame!" wrote Bei Huang.

Mirös Ozark replied, "NEVER NEVER...Atleast something is sacred in Hollywood."

Ana Martinez, Vice President for Media Relations and Producer for the Hollywood Walk of Fame, explains that nominees must meet the committee's criteria: longevity in their field of entertainment, awards and other honors, and philanthropic work, according to CNN.

How does a celeb obtain the honor of a Walk of Fame star? Here's a quick checklist.

*Star must meet the aforementioned criteria.

*The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce committee must approve the nomination.

*The celebrity must agree to appear at the ceremony.

*Honoree must pony up a steep $30k for the privilege, the funds to create and install the star plus to help maintain the Walk.

Martinez also noted, "We just want to bring the tourists to Hollywood."

We're fairly certain, even with the exemption of reality stars, flocks of photo-snapping sightseers will inundate the Walk perpetually.
