Southland temps are predicted to exceed 100 degrees today thanks to a monsoonal flow invading SoCal. Heat and humidity are on their merry ways.

The UV index will be at a 10 Thursday, which means those with fair skin can burn after just four minutes outside, reports CBS LA.

As we advised on Tuesday, stay indoors plus blast that AC if you're lucky enough to have it. If you must go outdoors, lather up and stay hydrated.

Community Cooling Centers have opened their frigid arms today to help Southlanders combat the heat. A complete list of centers can be downloaded from the L.A. County Department of Public Health website.

Temps, originally predicted to drop by Sunday, may continue making SoCalians miserable until the middle of next week.

Stay cool, L.A.!
