Tonight is the night for music, cheese, no cheese and awkward puberty stories. On the carving block this evening awaits Cheese 101 at Andrew's Cheese Shop plus the red carpet screening of the anti-dairy documentary, Got the facts on Milk? A one woman show at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre promises plenty of Jewish jokes. Clean out those ears for jazz at the Hollywood Bowl, Gabby Young and Other Animals at Amoeba and LA Philharmonic musicians at El Cid.

Ah oui, le fromage. Andrew's Cheese Shop schools cheese lovers in Cheese 101 tonight, covering the history, origin and the basics of this dairy delight. Taught by Andrew himself, the course offers samples of the shop's most famous cheeses. 7:30pm-9:30pm. $30 plus tax. Interested students should reserve their spots online.

Got the facts on Milk?, an award-winning feature documentary challenging the health benefits of dairy products, screens tonight at the AMC Century City 15. This red carpet premiere screening invites cinema-goers to witness the exposé while clad in their red carpet best. Following the film is a Q&A panel then an after party mixer at UMMBA Grill. 7pm-11:30pm. Screening begins at 7:30pm. Tickets are $13.50 for adults, $12.50 for seniors, $10.50 for children and can be purchased online. Watch the trailer here.
THEATER
Aysha Wax takes the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre stage in her one woman show, Hebrew School Horror. Written and performed by Wax plus directed by Eliza Skinner, the show is a "hilarious romp through the most awkward time in most of our lives; puberty. If you have been Bar Mitzvah'd or know someone who has this is the show for you." 6:30pm. $5. Reserve tickets online.
MUSICA
Tonight's Jazz at the Bowl series presents the rhythms and sounds of Cuba via Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club® featuring Omara Portuondo Arturo Sandoval & the L.A. All-Star Big Band. Natalie Cole will grace the Hollywood Bowl stage for two songs with Arturo Sandoval & the L.A. All-Star Big Band in a special guest appearance. But the musical acts don’t stop there. Also performing is Ninety Miles featuring Stefon Harris, David Sanchez and Christian Scott. Selected photos from A Revolutionary Project: Cuba from Walker Evans to Now, the Getty’s new photography exhibition, will be projected along with the Cuban-centric acts. 8pm. Ticket prices range from $1-$131.
MUSIC
Gabby Young and Other Animals perform tonight at Amoeba Records in Hollywood. Young and her collective of instrumentalists are described as “distinctive,” “theatrical” plus "wildly flamboyant and with a good selection of brassy-backed, jazz-edged songs.” Likened to Florence and the Machine (maybe it’s the red hair?), “Gabby is the avant-garde ringleader of 'Other Animals'” who accompany the red hot songstress with “vocals, guitars, banjo, accordion, trombone, tuba, clarinet, percussion, steel drums, djembe, piano, Hammond organ and so much more." 7pm. Free.
MUSIC BENEFIT
LA Philharmonic members donate their skills to a Chamber Concert tonight at El Cid. The musical event includes Crusell's Divertimento for Oboe and Strings, Britten's Phantasy Quartet and Mozart's Oboe Quartet. All ticket sales will benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) via the Leukemia and Lymphoma Team In Training's (TNT) 100 mile bike ride on September 18. 7pm-9pm. $25 at the door.
