Anthrax?! Threatening Letter Containing White Powder Mailed to Craig Ferguson

Craig Ferguson, CBS's late, late night funny man, received a not so funny letter on Tuesday. The "threatening letter with white powder" sparked an investigation by LAPD's Major Crimes Division and the FBI, reports LA Times.

Prior to the taping of Ferguson's "The Late Late Night Show," two employees opened the letter at the studios.

Authorities in Europe, where the letter is believed to have originated, are also examining the evidence.

Ferguson, not a fan of anthrax, tweeted about the incident yesterday.

"Ack!Someone mailed my show white powder & claimed it was anthrax. I'm not a big fan of that sort of thing. #thanksFBI&LAPD&LAFD&CBSsecurity."
