Amy Winehouse Toxicology Tests Show No Signs of Illegal Drugs
A toxicology report released by Amy Winehouse's family on Tuesday concludes that no illegal drugs were present in the singer's system at the time of her death, reports KABC.
Winehouse's family also noted that the tests show alcohol was present, but the substance's role in her death has not yet been determined.
The beloved 27-year-old songstress was found dead by one of her security guards in her London flat on July 23. Her funeral and cremation took place on July 26 in London.
Spokesman Chris Goodman released a statement on Tuesday on the family's behalf, stating that the "toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy's system at the time of her death."
The family awaits the results of an inquest slated to commence come October.
