They eat your brains to gain your knowledge. And now they're invading your engagement photos. Zombies.

Los Angeles couple Juliana Park and Ben Lee, along with local photographer Amanda Rynda, chose a serene Santa Clarita meadow as the spot for their engagement photos. While peacefully sipping white wine, the couple was attacked by a member of the undead, who also happened to be their friend and coworker, Jason Boesch.

The unconventional photos posted on Monday and have since gone viral with nods on numerous news sites and blogs.

Rynda is in delightful awe of the photo series' popularity.

"I'm shocked, dumbfounded and so, so flattered," she said.

Park and Lee wasted no time defending themselves in the attack, grabbing a bread knife and a wine bottle to annihilate the zombie.

The duo succeeds and stands proudly over their victim with a shovel and wine glasses in hand.

Now that all of L.A. knows the murderous couples' wedding date, perhaps they'll be receiving extra gifts from strangers. Maybe a nice machete for their special day?

God I love LA ... everybody's on stage. Steven King may rule the horror, but the weird lives on in the city of the angels.
