Chiseled Visage: Venice Street Art Process Captured on Video
Pop into any alley or side street along Venice's bustling Abbot Kinney Boulevard, and you are likely to be greeted by brilliant, bizarre mural characters, a painted set of eyes staring back at you or a random sculpture. Portuguese-born artist Vhils has elevated Abbot Kinney street art to a new level, chiseling a woman's face into the exterior south-facing wall of the Post No Bills gallery in conjunction with the current European Bailout Show.
The entire process took approximately 24 hours and is captured on video. It's Saturday. Enjoy your day. Carve out four minutes for a slice of Vhils' process, courtesy of today's video lunch.
