Dinner & a Movie: Marina Del Rey Getting SoCal's 1st AMC Dine-In Theatre

Sitting on your butt in the dark watching a movie you paid too much for to see is about to get better if you hang out in Marina Del Rey. SoCal's first AMC Dine-In Theatre will be going in at Villa Marina Marketplace, reports Marina Del Rey Patch.

The theatre will be a whopping 34,318 square feet, and will feature auditoriums that have reserved seating, seat-side service. Patrons will be able to order restaurant-style food and cocktails. So basically you can get your dinner-and-a-movie all in one place.

AMC's Dine-In theatres have two kinds of "experiences" they offer patrons, including the more casual "Fork & Screen" set-up and the more upscale "Cinema Suites." On the sample menu offered online for the Dine-Ins are all manner of chicken tenders, appetizer platters, sugary cocktails, burgers, pizzas, salads, sandwiches, "pizzettas," and a ton of sweet treats, all in the sort of TGI Fridays vein. You'll be able to enjoy the new Dine-In Theatre in MDR in late spring 2012.

There are AMC Dine-In Theatres in Atlanta, Dallas, Kansas City, New Jersey, Orlando, and Phoenix.
