Backyards are a luxury in Los Angeles, and those who are lucky enough to have them grow flowers, vegetables, trees and native plants. And weed.

Timothy Beck of Torrance opened his doors on Wednesday afternoon to officials armed with a search warrant, reports The Daily Breeze. After receiving a tip about Beck's home, located in the 3900 block of 176th Street, police decided to investigate.

Recovering 239 marijuana plants from a homemade greenhouse - concealed under tarps - in Beck's backyard, officials arrested 62-year-old Beck on suspicion of cultivating and possessing marijuana for sale.
