Long Beach police raided 37 locations in Los Angeles and Orange counties on Wednesday night, resulting in 17 arrests of suspected rival gang members, reports KABC.

The Asian gang members, mostly Cambodians, were allegedly uniting gangster forces to steal "firearms, marijuana, Ecstacy, Rolex watches and computers, among other items."

The suspects are part of five different Asian street gangs, some of them former rivals, who are "teaming up with the sole purpose of committing lucrative crimes," the Long Beach Police Department said in a statement, according to L.A. Now.

Of the 17 members arrested, 15 of them hail from Long Beach.

Felony charges against the suspects include "possession of stolen property, possession of narcotics for sales, elder abuse, forgery fraud and identity theft."

State parole agents and officers from the Long Beach, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove and Westminster police departments plus deputies from the O.C. and L.A. County Sheriff's departments have been investigating the gangs for the past four months.
