Off-Leash Dog Beach in Rancho Palos Verdes?

Angelenos currently have two choices when taking their pooches for an ocean dip - Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu and Rosie's Dog Beach in Long Beach. But there may soon be a third.

The Rancho Palos Verdes City Council has voted to determine if a stretch of coastline near Portuguese bend serves as an ideal spot for an off-leash dog beach, reports CBS LA.

Located just below the Trump National Golf Course on Ocean Trails, the strip would help fill in the 60+ mile gap between canine-liberating shores.

  • The last two times I took my dog there, he rolled on dead sea lions that had washed ashore. Someone there said that fishermen shoot them.
