A Hollywood Star, All I Ever Wanted: The Go-Go's Get Walk Of Famed

The "high pop priestesses" of The Go-Go's received their first Hollywood Walk of Fame star today. All five women were present during the ceremony, which appropriately took place in front of The Masque, the former punk rock club that housed the band's first performance.

Today's award marks the 2,444th star to adorn the famous walk, says Daily News.

"We loved the Hollywood Walk of Fame even then," said Jane Wiedlin, one of the band's four founding members. "In our wildest dreams, we could never have dreamed our little band would get a star on the Walk of Fame.

The band is slated to rock the Greek Theatre on Wednesday, August 17.
