If a dance party in the OC isn't your thing this Saturday, perhaps a gay pride festival is.

OC Pride Festival is back and "busting through the orange curtain" this Saturday, August 13, from noon until 10pm in Irvine. The "celebration of diversity" invites people from all walks of life - lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) and ally - to attend, get educated and have fun.

Festivities include:

*Performances on the Velvet Lounge Main Stage by Stacey Q, Speaker Junkies, Transkontinental, Corday and The Cougars, Soul Sisters and more.

*The Club Lucky Dance Tent featuring DJ’s Mike Orion, Saratonin, Hazmat, John Joseph, Zach Moos, and Ahmed.

*Kids' Club including a bounce house, balloon animals, face painting, entertainment and games from noon-6pm.

*Rainbow Symposium, a lecture series by expert speakers on topics like "Transgender Transition," "Smashing Homophobia 101," "Lube U," "How To Answer the Religious Right," and others.

*Nonprofit and vendor booths.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online or at Saturday's event. Limited VIP tickets cost $75, must be purchased online and include Border Grill bites and Barefoot Wine beverages.
