Tuesday's proposed L.A. billboard regulation ordinance meeting identified solutions for signage regulation and enforcement. A topic not covered was ways to creatively employ billboards.
The family of Carrie Thomas, a 23-year-old female who was shot and killed last March, has it covered. In hopes of generating a tip leading to the arrest of their daughter's murderer, the family has rented a billboard along the 60 Freeway in Moreno Valley reports CBS LA.
“We don’t have a lot of money, but every dime that we do have, we’re gonna utilize that to try to catch this guy,” the victim’s father, Gene Thomas, told CBS2/KCAL9′s Nicole Gonzales.
The billboard reads "Help me find my killer" and shows a picture of Carrie and the man seen vanishing from the scene of the crime - an ATM. Already generating tips, the billboard will be rotated along the 60 Freeway at numerous locations.
“It’s really been good. It’s been very reassuring for me,” the victim’s mother, Ladonna Thomas, said.
