The twice-annual dineLA Restaurant Week will be back October 2-7 and 9-14 this year, and hundreds of restaurants in L.A. County will be offering fixed price dinners and some even lunches to encourage diners to go out and try new places or revisit old favorites.

Though the participating restaurants have not been finalized yet, we can expect about 300 of them with special three-course menus in three price tiers (Deluxe, Premier, and Fine Dining). Diners will have choices for each course, too. Dinners will be priced at $26, $34 and $44 respectively for the tiers. Select restaurants will have lunches, and those will be priced at $16, $22, and $28.

If you happen to fall in the overlap of the Venn diagram of American Express cardholders and Foursquare users, you can sync up your accounts and score a special $5 "bonus" that works as follows: "After spending a minimum of $21 per check-in with any synced card, members will receive a push notification stating the Special has been redeemed and, in three to five days, receive $5 in the form of an American Express statement credit."

The rest of us can just enjoy plain ol' savings, and the chance to have a meal out at a place or two we haven't tried before, or have been looking to go back to.

Awesome! Can you remind us at the end of September when they announce the  restaurants who are participating? I have been wanting to do a Restaurant Week dinner at some point and am worried October will come and go and I'll forget!

  • I'd like to go either~
