In No "Ordinary World," It's Duran Duran Appreciation Day!
Are you "Hungry Like the Wolf"? Do you "Save a Prayer" for 80s and 90s new wave-rock? It's video lunch time, and we're wondering if the mere mention of Duran Duran will make you "Come Undone." Whether your name is "Rio," or you're one of the "Girls on Film," in this un-"Ordinary World," August 10th is Duran Duran Appreciation Day.
Why? We have no idea, and according to this 2010 DDAD post, the band doesn't either:
Though we’re not sure how the day came to be, we are all well aware that for
several years now August 10th has been Duran Duran Appreciation Day. Each
year we are continually thrilled that we have our own day [...]Thank you for letting us have our day, we couldn’t celebrate without you.
Simon, John, Roger & Nick
To celebrate, a smorgasbord of videos. Rock on. Appreciate!
