Branching Out: Quinn and Karen Hatfield Prep Second Restaurant, The Sycamore Kitchen, For Early 2012
Cinnamon Roll Bread Pudding from Hatfield's; This upscale dessert featuring Karen Hatfield's pastry is a promising indication of the baked treats planned for The Sycamore Kitchen (Lindsay William-Ross/LAist)
The Sycamore Kitchen will be open all day long, and will ensure that locals will have a place to go for tasty pastries and coffee no matter the hour, along with house-made roasted meats, pickled veggies, and of course, freshly-baked breads and other goodies. Just the sample baked goods name-dropped in the email about the new venture will make mouths water: chocolate babka muffins, salted caramel pecan rolls, brown butter and sour cherry scones and lemon polenta cake.
They'll serve brunch, lunch, dinner, and to-go items during their 8 a.m. to 8 p.m hours.
