Health-conscious The Cheesecake Factory fans rejoice. Starting August 9, the national restaurant chain will reveal its new "SkinnyLicious" menu, according to today's news release.
The new menu offers 50 items that rank much lower in calorie count than the currently offered eats. Remember the Cheesecake Factory mentions in the Center for Science in the Public Interest's 2011 Xtreme Eating Awards?
Small plates, appetizers and fresh-baked flatbreads on the new menu will total less than 490 calories each. Entree salads and main courses will serve up dishes at 590 calories or less. SkinnyLicious will also tempt patrons with thirteen new recipes.
For those looking to slim down or stay svelte but who cannot resist the occasional sip, SkinnyLicious features five cocktails that total just 150 calories or less.
"We are very happy to introduce our new SkinnyLicious(TM) menu to our guests," said David Overton, Founder of The Cheesecake Factory. "We wanted to create a menu that delivers an exceptional dining experience to our calorie-conscious guests, without compromising the delicious taste that people have come to expect from The Cheesecake Factory."
The menu will be rolled out over the course of five weeks and will eventually be offered at all 151 locations. There are currently about 32 Cheesecake Factory locations in California and approximately 19 in Los Angeles.
