Hey, Kids: X Games Prompt Enforcement of Curfew for Minors

If you're under 18, steer clear of downtown late at night this weekend -- the law will be looking for you, reports KCBS.

Because of X Games 17, happening at the Staples Center and LA Live, officers will be on the lookout for kids breaking the city's curfew laws (yeah, they exist....) which state that minors can't be on the street, in vacant lots, "place of amusement or eating place" among others, unsupervised, between the hours of 10 p.m. and sunrise the following day.

Because this law is usually SO WELL ENFORCED, we will not be surprised when some kids find themselves slapped with fines because, well, who the hell knew?

  • I'm a little bitter about the curfew law. I got slapped with the same $400 fine getting In-n-Out at 10:30p as two guys out at 2am with the most bullshit story I'd ever heard.

It really needs to be pushed back to 11 or midnight.
