Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor rejected the prosecution's request to show the jury sixteen hours of unseen footage of Michael Jackson's final rehearsals for a series of comeback concerts, according to CBS LA.

Prosecutors claim the footage portrays Jackson as healthy, confident and engaged in the days preceding his death on June 25, 2009.

Attorneys of Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor charged with involuntary manslaughter, contend that Jackson's poor health, amongst other factors, contributed to his death. In April 2011 the defense implied that Jackson committed suicide.

Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter. The trial is scheduled to commence September 8.
